Elegant handwoven Ikat rajkot style pochampally silk saree by the weavers of Pochampally Weavers Co-operative Society from Pochampally in Nalgonda district, Telangana state. All over traditional abstract flower motifs woven as elaborate diamond patterns adorn the blue purple saree body. The red plain stripes highlighted in golden zari yarn are designed for the saree borders. The pallu is traditionally woven with thin golden zari tissue on red base with white diamond designs. This saree holds the prestigious tag of Handloom Mark of India which certifies the authenticity and genuinely of this product.
The Pochampally Ikat weaving technique is one of most complex tie-dye technique. The weavers at Pochampally have mastered this art over centuries.
