Elegant handwoven Ikat rajkot style pochampally silk saree by the weavers of Pochampally Weavers Co-operative Society from Pochampally in Nalgonda district, Telangana state. This gorgeous saree is woven in a blue and red combination. The blue saree body is highlighted with ikat arrow motifs. Intricately woven elephant motifs are designed as a stripe near the lower saree border. Golden zari interwoven with red silk yarn stripes are designed for the saree borders. The pallu is traditionally woven with thin golden zari tissue on red yarn with white zig zag wave design. This saree holds the prestigious tag of Handloom Mark of India which certifies the authenticity and genuinely of this handwoven product.
The Pochampally Ikat weaving technique is one of most complex tie-dye technique. The weavers at Pochampally have mastered this art over centuries.
